Greetings Disciples and Friends of God,
Indeed this is the DAY the Lord has made for all of us to rejoice and be glad! In many respects, July Fourth may have appeared to be like any other day in that summer of 1776. This was not like any other day. This was Independence Day. The responsibility for giving voice to the God inspired principles upon which a new union would be formed weighed heavily in the hearts of the founding fathers of this land…a future land of peace, prosperity and VICTORY! It is no accident that in the few words chosen to declare independence on that summer morning, the name of the Almighty God appears as testimony to the faith of the founding fathers: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” With thoughts of this significant historical event in mind, Betty and I chose Independence Day 2009, to give our voice to the ministries God has called us to birth…with total Dependence on God! After the past year of purpose driven and fervent prayers, we launched Victory Group Ministries. In early September we will also launch Victory Christian Center, a Spirit-filled New Covenant Word church of the Almighty Living God! Actually, the birth of these ministries has been in our family’s hearts for many years. They are now spiritually and legally established and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Coming very soon are: blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and other links. We will leverage the power of the Holy Spirit, anointed ministers of the Gospel, technology and every tool available to God's Word and communications out to Metro-Louisville…Amen! During the past year we have been teaching, preaching, singing and ministering in the Metro-Louisville area. One of the most memorable and blessed opportunities was teaching an Old Testament Survey Class. We added “Beholding Jesus, the Messiah in Every OT Book” to make classes more life changing. From that experience we realized the critical need of living in God’s promised Victory by a better understanding, continuous application and mountain moving faith in the New Covenant for Christians today. This will be the one of main focuses of both ministries mentioned above. First and foremost is Salvation for all who do not know Jesus, the Christ as Lord and Savior! We, joined with like-spirited Believers desiring VICTORY in every area of life, are dedicated and committed to teaching, preaching and ministering to adults, youth and children the whole council of the entire Bible/Word of God from: Romans 10:9-13, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved……by the precious Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus the Christ, and word of our testimony Matthew 6:33, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…… Matthew 28:18-20, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit……… Acts 2:1-5, And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Ephesians 4:11-16, And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry…… Romans 12:2, Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 2 Corinthians 3:6, He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit 2 Peter 1:1-11, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises….. 1 Peter 2:20-24, who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed…by the shed Blood of Jesus, the Christ, on the Cross at Calvary. 2 Corinthians 5:21, For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him Ephesians 2:8, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 1 Corinthians 15:57, But thanks be to God, who gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.
