GO FOR THE GOAL
Fortunate are the persons,
Who in this life can find
A purpose that can fill their days,
And goals to fill their minds!

The world is filled with many people,
Content with where they are;
Not knowing joys success can bring,
No will to go that far.

Yet in this world there is a need
For people to lead the rest,
To rise above the "average" life,
By giving of their best!

Would you be the one who dares to try
When challenged by the task?
To rise to heights you've never seen,
Or is that too much to ask?

This is your day -- a world to win,
Great purpose to achieve
Accept the challenge of your goals
And in yourself believe!

Life is like riding a bicycle. You don't fall off unless you stop pedaling.

 The Will of God!

The will of God will never take you,
Where the grace of God cannot keep you.
Where the arms of God cannot support you,
Where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
Where the power of God cannot endow you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the Spirit of God cannot work through you,
Where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
Where the army of God cannot protect you,
Where the hands of God cannot mold you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the love of God cannot enfold you,
Where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
Where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
Where the authority of God cannot overrule for you.

The will of God will never take you,
Where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
Where the Word of God cannot feed you,
Where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
Where the omnipresence of God cannot find you.

Commitment

It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through. - Zig Ziglar

Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another. - Walter Elliott

What does it mean to be committed?

Commitment is more than just saying you will.
Commitment is more than just good intentions.
Commitment is more than just a once-in-a-while process. It is a continuing, moment-by-moment undertaking. It is more than trying.

Commitment is doing whatever is necessary, for as long as necessary, to get the job done.
Commitment doesn't bail out at the first sign of trouble.
Commitment stays on course, moving steadily through good times and bad.

Commitment doesn't make excuses or look for the easy way out. It finds a way through every obstacle. Commitment doesn't wait for someone else to take up the slack.
Commitment makes things happen whatever the circumstance.

True commitment isn't stopped when the effort becomes tiring, boring, uncomfortable, unpleasant, tedious, perilous or unpopular.
True commitment keeps on going.

Genuine commitment on the part of those who have come before us has brought our world to where it is today, enabling us to live lives filled with possibility and promise. It is a priceless legacy, and one which can continue to grow with our own strong and sincere commitment.

If you don't make a total commitment to whatever you're doing, then you start looking to bail out the first time the boat starts leaking. It's tough enough getting that boat to shore with everybody rowing, let alone when a guy stands up and starts putting his life jacket on - Lou Holtz

It takes a little courage, and a little self-control.
And some grim determination, if you want to reach your goal.
It takes some real striving, and a firm and stern-set chin,
No matter what the battle, if you really want to win.

There's no easy path to glory, there's no rosy road to fame, Life, however, we may view it, is no simple parlor game. But its prizes call for fighting, for endurance and for grit, For a rugged disposition and a "don't-know-when-to-quit." You must take a blow or give one, you must risk and you must lose; And expect that in the struggle you will suffer from the bruise. But you must not wince or falter, if you once begin; Be strong and face the battle, that's the only way to win.

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.- Calvin Coolidge
