Day 1: Get Your Hopes Up

All my life I’ve heard people say, “ Now, don’t get your hopes up.”

Until I began to live a life of faith, I didn’t think much about it. But after I began to live by faith, and Hebrews 11:1 became real to me, I thought, Why not get my hopes up?

If I don’t have hope, I won’t have any faith. Since faith is the substance of things hoped for, without it, I won’t have anything for faith to be the substance of!

The Bible says you have God’s hope. You’ve got His faith, and His love. You received these powerful spiritual elements when you received Jesus as your Savior and LORD.

People say, “Don’t get your hopes up.” I say, “Get them up as high as you can get them. You can never have too much hope or too much faith.”

The ability of your adversary, the devil, has been paralyzed, and he is now subject to the matchless Name of Jesus, the mighty power of Jesus’ blood shed for us, and the explosive, creative power of The WORD of the living God spoken in faith from the lips of Christians who have been reborn into the image and likeness of Christ Jesus, the Anointed One.

All your enemy can do is lie you out of what belongs to you and tell you you’re not going to get it. He is the one who comes to knock down your hope so he can steal your faith.

Jesus said in John 10:10 KJV, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The sooner you recognize that satan is the thief, the sooner you’ll begin mounting your oeensive with the power of God’s eternal, life-changing WORD and building your strong hope on what He says.

For most people, hope just means wishful thinking. You often hear, “I sure do hope so!” Meaning something more like, “I sure do wish that would happen.”

In  God’s economy, wishful thinking will get you absolutely nothing, which is why the devil tries to steal hope from the believer.

Gospel hope is inseparable from faith and love—they’re actually dependent on one another to function.
Therefore, when the spiritual forces of faith, hope and love are working together on your behalf, nothing can stop you from receiving your healing, having your needs met, and enjoying everything else God has promised you in His WORD.

The spiritual forces of faith, hope and love will bring the victory you need for anything you’re facing.

Let’s dig in and find out what this powerful force of hope can do for you. In the process, I believe you’ll find the key to living a better life. And by the time you finish studying about hope, you’ll never again be fearful of getting your hopes up or withdrawing your faith from what God has for you.

Prayer:
Father, teach me in Your WORD about the spiritual forces of faith, hope and love and how they impact my life. Open the eyes of my spiritual understanding to see, my ears to hear and my heart to understand what the Holy Spirit is saying to me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Old Testament Scriptures on Hope
1.   Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

2.  Psalm 33:18
"But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love."
